Nox
“Some call me a Hero. Some call me a Criminal. Me? I say screw titles. I'm just tryna to do the right thing...”

General
Name: Antonio 'Tony' Puentes III
Known Aliases: Tony, Tone, Nox, Shadow Man.
Species: Human-Scathe Hybrid (Originally Human before fusing with Donu)
Eye Color: White (Originally Brown)
Hair Color: Dark Brown
DOB: July 23nd
Age: 19
Height: 5'8
Weight: 165 lbs
Occupation: None. (Heroism?)
Hobbies: Writing, Working Out, Music (he's surprisingly a huge fan of Jazz)

Appearance
Tony stands at 5 foot 9 at 160 pounds. Slender and athletic, Tony never had any self-consciousness or fear of baring his track-runner-like body, as he is actually quite muscular and in great shape for his height. Tony's hair length varies, as getting a decent haircut isn't always an option for him. Most times he's found with hair just long enough to fall over the top of his eyes in deep brown tone that might be mistaken for black depending on the lighting. Both his eyes are completely whitened out, as if he never had pupils or irises before. However, under microscopic view, it turns out there IS indeed a pupil. It's just small enough to be hidden to the naked eye. Tony has a dark cappuccino complexion due to being afro-latino, as he is half Puerto Rican and half Dominican.Usually seen with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, it would be strange to see Tony wearing anything otherwise. Tony's idea for comfort was always a strange one, which translated to his clothing choice. Most times, he can be found wearing slim jeans, high top Converse shoes (his favorites are purple) and a black hoodie with the sleeves either cut or ripped off (he has a few). Having almost always worked with his hands (in street fights, construction, working out, etc), Tony felt comfort to lie in freedom. Freedom of his arms meant no sleeves to make him uncomfortable or get in his way. When it comes to his more current work, however, Tony finally thought the best way to convert his sense of style was to do so literally. Designing a "super hero" look of his own, Tony took inspiration from both medieval archers and hollywood's depictions of ninja. Somewhat loose leather breeches sleekly line his legs and are matched by a leather vest which hugs his torso. Both are majority of a deep chocolate brown with charcoal black and royal purple accents. His arms are still sleeveless, and are only covered by black arm guards that reach from nearly the crease of his elbow down to his wrist, ending at the middle of the top of his hands in a triangular point each. Both feet are covered in black leather knee-high boots with slim design that end at a triangular point at the kneecap. The only purple accent to both his boots and his arm guards are purple outlines that line from the triangular tips down the entirety of the article's face (for the boots, they end at the foot and only line the shin). Attached to the vest is a leather hood, as he couldn't get away from the preference of having one to wear. The hood matches the rest of his 'costume', mainly dark brown with black and purple accents. And lastly (and DEFINITELY not leastly!), the final 'ninja" addition to his costume: the mask on his face. (The mask was actually the first part he decided to make!)Only covering from the bridge of his nose down to his neck, the inspired ninja mask is entirely royal purple (much like the accents along his costume) with a single thick black line jaggedly crossing it like cartoon teeth. What he likes to call the "Two Once One" mask, there is literally two pieces that meet (a top half and bottom half) with the black "teeth marker" actually where they separate. On either side of the mask are silver hinges that actually act as the foundation of keeping it a singular mask. With these hinges in play, Nox can actually open and close his mask like he's wearing the mouth of cartoony beast. The idea was one he had due to wanting to not lose expression while behind the mask— especially not anger in the face of enemies. Perhaps most importantly to who Tony is, when asked by Gnosis upon first seeing it, Tony finishes his explanation off with, “Besides, it makes me feel like a badass.....like Sub Zero!”

Abilities
After Tony and Donu fused, they both realized two things: they now shared one body, and they had super powers. Through small practice and intense necessity, the duo learned to hone their abilities throughout taking on the mantle Nox and taking to fighting crime.Enhanced Strength: Rather weak at first, Tony's learned to use the shadows that course through his veins to enhance his muscles and power himself where necessary. Should he need more strength, he can collect outside shadows to further his strength. But his comes with the price of a limit. For after first learning this technique, he soon overextended himself catching a bus that was flung at him like a baseball and tore a few muscles in his body in catching the impact before damage could be done. He soon realized that he still had room to grow as far as the strength he could adopt, but that his body would have to be further trained to eventually reach that maximum limit. The most he is currently known to lift with his own hands is a bus, yet catching a thrown bus is still to be determined after the first time.Enhanced Agility: Similarly to how he enhances his strength, Tony can use the same technique when leaping, running, swimming, etc. The fastest he's ran in a consistent sprint is just about of 70 miles per hour.Shadow Manipulation: With Donu's physical form fusing with Anthony's anatomy, they grew the ability to manipulate shadows. This is the linchpin to most of his abilities, as most of his powers are creative ways of using this power. In it's most basic form, Tony can control and manipulate all forms of shadows. Whenever using said shadow as a weapon (whether it be a construct, a blast, etc), the more the better. For the less shadow he manipulates in said blast or construct, the weaker the attack or form of said construct. All aura-charged attacks, blocks or otherwise, will subject to this.Shadow Blast: A simple attack (and likely his most used outside of physical combat), Tony pulls his power into a condensed and focused blast of force. The more shadow he fuels the blast with, the more powerful the beam. Easily his least power consuming attack, he can keep a steady beam even without outside shadow manipulation to a pretty powerful extent, even when weakened.Shadow Constructs: Through the shadow manipulation, Tony's learned to shape them into hard physical forms for as long as he needs to, or until they are destroyed. The strength of each construct, however, depends on the amount of shadow he uses upon constructing an object. Even with small amounts, he could still make larger objects, but they would be weak. Much like metal malleability, more darkness means a stronger construct. (This same rule applies in general to his powers, however constructs generally follow this rule the most lawfully.) However, when used as a tool to lift or otherwise, constructs created by the shadows are capable of lifting/moving tremendous weights far heavier than 100 tons with little effort on Nox's part.Shade Evade: Using his fusing with Donu's physiology, Tony can break down his body and literally replicate Donu's original form: a living shadow. After doing so, he travels at (technical) light speed, jumping from shadow to shadow in travel as to hide from the naked eye whenever taking pause in his travels. To those around the act, it would be fast enough to make those who might have witnessed it question if they ever witnessed anything to begin with. Needing immense concentration to pull off at first, Tony eventually learns to use the Evade in combat. But due to the technical focus needed, he generally cannot use the technique while attacking. Tony tends to use it as a means of defense, even making only part of his body turn into a wispy shadow to let attacks phase through him, or to create space between him and his enemy.Mental Switch: Both Tony (obviously, due to his body being his own) and Donu have control over Tony's body (now their body). This forces the both of the minds to take turns in the "driver's seat" to keep control fluent as possible without complication. So at any given time, you could end up talking to Tony OR Donu when approaching Nox. The only true way to know without direct contact is by his body language. (See personality) Unfortunately, the main pro for this ability is also its main con. Since there are long periods in time that Nox ends up on the run, they don't have opportunity to sleep. The mental switch allows for them to succeed in their constant running, fighting, and acting but it can also keep them from forcing themselves to sleep to keep up physical strength. However, the main uses of this technique lie with aloof nature. First, as they swap control of the body, whichever isn't in control may mentally sleep, keeping their minds sharp back and fourth throughout use (again, leaving the body to suffer physically without sleep). The other use is keeping their enemies on their toes, as there's never any telling which of the two they're facing when springing into combat. Having a second mind to bounce ideas, strategies and even perceive in two different ways (they share sight, after all) can make dealing with the duo a game of chess, should the scenario allow such complexity.Nocturnal Meditation and Shadow Pool: Tony and Donu both realize soon after beginning their heroics that they can actually tap into their own body for shadows, as well. Tapping into what Tony calls their "Shadow Pools", they can create shadows when none are around! Or...so it seems. In reality, they are tapping into the shadowy body that became their blood and the mental darkness of the mind. This keeps them from being completely powerless during the daytime or in completely lit places, but tapping into these pools too heavily leaves Nox completely drained of energy and power. (In some extreme cases, he can even leave himself comatose from overextending himself!) Nox finds and alters a small apartment that had been abandoned some time ago during his misadventures. In said apartment, he shutters out the windows with planks of wood, and paints the inside faces of the wood black with the rest of the place. This is where he rests his head. Doing this allows him to literally soak in the surrounding darkness as he sleeps and recharge/refill his Shadow Pool.__Ghastral Projection__: One day after Tony allowed their body to sleep, Donu incidentally learns to split minds and "Ghastral Project" (as he calls it.) This ability was almost identical to the real life phenomena known as Astral Projection, in which a person's spiritual body leaves their physical body in a deep sleep (as a very simplistic way of explaining such.) However in Ghastral Projection, it's not Tony's spiritual body that escapes his physical one, but it's his other mental body: Donu. During his sleep, Donu may escape via Tony's gaping/snoring mouth in his smoke-like ghastly form. This allows him to watch Tony as the actual body rests and keep them both safe. In this state, Donu is practically back to his original state, voice and all (See Donu: Appearance). He can even fight, although he isn't anywhere near as strong as their combined might, and would opt to wake Tony so they can defend themselves correctly if faced with a mighty enough foe. He first learned of this ability when Raptor first gave Tony a place to sleep, where he was the first to witness Donu in his original form.Darkvision: After fusing with Donu, Tony soon realized that he had enhanced vision through the darkness. That being said, he can see just as well during the night as he can during the day.Extended Eye: Using his shadows, Tony can extend his eye(s) in a partial Shade Evade through wherever the shadow will stretch and be able to see through the end point like a shadow telescope or binoculars. (Note that they do not magnify the images like said examples, only allow him to see around corners, on rooftops, hiding in plain sight, etc.) The downside to this ability is that it hinders his sight where his body still is, leaving him open to the element of surprise. Not to mention that the longer the distance, the more obvious he is manipulating one. (A long dark shadow that stretches down the middle of the street, down an alleyway, up the side of a building and randomly ending on the top of the roof among a group of thugs is sure to garner attention, after all.) Due to this, it's a technique he uses seldom, opting to use it only when necessary or the situation will allow him to do so intelligently.Shadow Clot: After realizing that his own blood took the properties of the shadows he bent to his will, Tony had an idea that proved rather useful in medical situations. Using his Extended Eye like a telescope as he works, Tony learned to use his shadow constructs to mend wounds. Whether it be pulling together bone fragments back in place, attaching muscle fiber in place, stitching closed open wounds or even clotting internal bleeding, with enough focus and shadow power, Tony can assist in even the worst of wounds. Unfortunately, Tony cannot see or work on a molecular level. Not to mention that whatever type of "clot" he's using for a wound in only temporary, for if he gets too far from the wound or loses focus on it, the clot will dissipate and leave the wound opened again. Unless on himself or the victim is someone he has extended time together with, the Shadow Clot is generally considered a temporary fix until proper medical attention can be reached.Accelerated Healing: While no where on an instant level, Tony's wounds heal at a much faster rate that the average human. Broken bones have healed within a week, normally fatal gashes in a hours and even the simple damages from a fight— such as smaller cuts, scuffs and bruising— being healed within the hour. The only trick to this is how extensive his wounds. Should Tony only break a femur and need to heal it off, his body will sufficiently and cleanly heal in about a week (with Shadow Clotting, about 5 days!). But should he leave a battle with multiple smaller cuts, multiple bruises, a few broken ribs, a broken wrist and a fatal gash along his stomach, it'll take much longer, likely doubling or even tripling the time needed to heal. With this healing process being so acute, only the most fatal of wounds leave scars on his body.Profiling: Tony lived in a rough neighborhood all his life. That being said, he's learned to trust few, at best. His judgement on giving trust was placed less on up-front verbals and more on body language, studying the even the smallest of physical reactions they make without his presence directly being involved, and most importantly their eyes. Tony believes, nearly religiously, that studying someone's eyes can always tell you what you need to know about someone. Ironic how soon getting to place where he would be using this skill most, his own eyes disappeared...“The Shadow Zone”: While developing and practicing The Shade Evade technique, Tony was drawn deeper in the shadows. Donu explained that his people were forbidden to do so, and any found out to have done or (or still been doing so) were subjected to the mercy of The Shadow King. Having already been rejected and seen as blasphemous in Eodum, Tony opted to search further and see just what it was that The King didn't want his people to venture into. Experiencing what he described as "dragging himself down a hallway that slowly became a hole for what felt like eternity," he stumbled onto what he nicknamed “The Shadow Zone.” The dark sided coin flip of our world, The Shadow Zone is a mirror flip to our world in nearly every way. Where it differs lists as such:**— ** There is no sun, yet light still exists enough to see in that plane of existence. To the average person, it always looks like night time.**— ** The perception of color is slightly faded, as if color itself is slightly dead in that realm. It is still very possible to see colors, but they are all at a loss of saturation, barely resembling the color they should.**— ** Unless introduced to some outside force like Fire, The Shadow Zone is generally cold, never getting hotter than about 65° F (C°18.3333).**— ** While in The Shadow Zone, time refracts in that plane of existence much like light refracts through water. That being said, time moves much slower than it does back in the real world. For every hour spent on that side of the coin, only a minute passes in our own dimension. However, you can only enter and exit The Shadow Zone once every 24 hours, as anything more (Tony soon learned) begins to slowly pull apart your body with more and more force each added time. Even the second time entering, Tony later explained to Gnosis that he “could feel his joints slowly start to leave him, as if they were trying to run from him.” By the time he exited, he realized the severity of the pull, as his arms and legs “gained their own control and started to leave him.” Gnosis, having gone in a few times himself, explained quite the opposite, as he could feel his body being crushed. Both decided that there's a different punishment to one's body per each individual, almost as if it had a mind of it's own and decided as it happened...

The Sorrow: Unbeknownst to Tony and Donu, the fusion between the two is not one that's complete. In the worst of situations, should Tony let himself lose all hope and succumb to his inner griefs, he dives into the darkest part of his heart and mind. In doing so, Donu's instincts overpower him and force him into attempting to be one with side darkness within Tony. In doing so, the fusion that they believed to already be in effect will fully complete, turning them into what Tony later dubs...“The Sorrow”. Slowly being taken by darkness from the inside out, his body ransforms painfully, bones and muscles shifting and tearing to become something else entirely.Standing at a hulking 13 feet tall, The Sorrow resembles a large and brutish wraith. The only flesh generally visible is from his lower deltoid (ball of the sholder) down to clawed fingertips, nearly black in its seemingly dead skin. From along the spine of his back all the way up to the tops of his shoulders, large charcoal spikes protrude from his body, curved upward like bony armor. Covering a majority of his body are twisted remains of his costume— tattered and torn from the transformation. Both his skin and each brutish breath it takes is freezing to the touch, even causing a misty steam of cold breath penetrating hot air. In this form, Tony retains his previous abilities but also gains a few altered ones...—Super Strength: While Tony needed to learn to adapt his body to use his shadow powers to amplify his strength, The Sorrow does not need to follow the same technique. Even more so, his strength is multiplied compared to that of Tony's, able to level skyscrapers with ease, even before stealing the inner light from others (see Soul Weaken). The true strength of The Sorrow has yet to be seen, but Tony believes it may only be limited to how many it can victimize with it's Soul Weaken.—Super Speed: Similarly to his Super Strength, The Sorrow does not need to follow the same techniques as Tony to increase his speed without the Shade Evade:. To a regular bystander, The Sorrow practically teleports, only visibly beginning his movement and ending it. If he so wanted, he could likely be able to lap the planet in mere minutes.—Invulnerability/Immortality: After transforming, The Sorrow possesses a very high durability capacity, which can only be penetrated by other strong forces. Most attacks cannot truly harm him, nor can they kill him, as his "health" is the time period in which the transformation can remain. Whether it be Tony able to pull free of his intense grief, or being beaten to the point of losing the stamina needed to keep the transformation active, The Sorrow will revert to Nox and (likely) fall unconscious. (Even if not, he would likely be sapped of all energy and hardly even able to do anything but walk.—Shadow Creation: In fusing with Donu and becoming Nox, Tony gained the ability to manipulate and bend shadows. Once The Sorrow, however, the restriction of Shadow Pools and relying on external shadows go out the window. Able to create darkness, all his attacks are created with the highest potency of shadow and, in turn, are among the most powerful as the style could be (even nearing those of The Shadow King!) Shadow blasts have a minimum of building-destroying- power and constructs are nearly indestructible if focused on.—Emotional Manipulation: Merely by being in it's presence, The Sorrow manipulates the emotions of all those around him, forcing all into a state of extreme grief and hopelessness. Those who are strong-willed enough will still feel this immense dread, but can fight off the feeling. However, even with fighting it off, it will gnaw and claw at their emotions so long as Nox is transformed into The Sorrow.—Mental Control: Those who are successfully "grieved" (as Tony nicknames it) are susceptible to mind control by The Sorrow. While those under it's control may be willed to do anything he requests, they are generally used as momentary and sacrificial distractions, whether it be fighting or otherwise. When Nox transforms back into his normal state, any and all those under his influence are instantly relieved of his control.—Dark Phasing: Able to reconstruct his physical form, The Sorrow is able to pass through certain solid objects such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon The Sorrow's willpower and the density of the object's molecular structure.—Soul Obscure: Once close enough to a target (usually when grabbed), The Sorrow reaches into said target with a wispy shadow hand and pulls "the light" from what's speculated to be the victim's soul. Seen as a constructed mimic of the victim in a warm golden and glowing light, the light construct is pulled into a tighter grasp (as if bear hugged) and absorbed by The Sorrow. This leaves victims in a near hypnotic state where they're at their darkest and most depressed. While they can find happiness again and eventually grow to become normal, the victims struggle to do so in a short period of time, forced to re-learn the good in life and what brings them "light" at their own respective pace. Each one of these stolen "souls bits" add power to The Sorrow, dependent on how happy with life the target was prior to crossing the beast. To Tony's knowledge, there's no limit to how much more power he can gain through this technique...—Shadow Mimic: After stealing "The Light" portion of ones soul, The Sorrow is able to create a shadow doppleganger construct that's a perfect mimic of the victim. (NOTE: This mimic is perfect only on a physical level. It cannot recreate powers or special abilities that deviate from a physical level. For example, if The Sorrow were to create a Shadow Mimic of Superman, it would still be extremely durable, super fast, and super strong, but would not be able to use heat vision or frost breath. But for special abilities that ARE physical, such a Spider-Man being able to stick to walls, the Mimic would be able to replicate it. These rules are null and void for anyone who uses tools to gain their abilities, such as Green Lanterns or Power Rangers, for example.)—Petrifying Glare: With a direct stare into the hidden eyes under the hood of the beast, victims are petrified with fright, stiffening and paralyzing them. This effect lasts only as long as direct eye contact is shared.—Life Steal: With direct physical contact, The Sorrow can sap the life force from another. This process takes time, depending on the willpower and physical prowess of the victim. (Strong-willed beings can slow the process, as do powerful beings. Both tremendously slows the process.) The amount stolen will weaken the target (if its grasp is broken prior to finishing), until eventually draining them of life completely.—Shadow Zone Connection: Due to being invulnerable, The Sorrow can go in and out of The Shadow Zone at will, never needing to worry about any repercussions of abusing the gateway to it or from it. Tony speculates that The Sorrow has a strange connection to The Shadow Zone, almost as if it's what Nox would be in THAT world: a twisted, malformed mirror to the hero in this dimension...

Donu

general
Name: Donu
(True name unpronounceable to humans.)
Known Aliases: Donny, Nox, Spooky.
Species: Scathe (Human-Scathe Hybrid post fusing with Tony)
Eye Color: White
Hair Color: Black
DOB: ???
Age: ???
Height: 8'5
Weight: None

Personality
Donu has a rather calm, precise and to-the-point type of personality. Oddly cold in nature, Donu tends to see situations with pure logic rather than any sort of true compassion...at first. Being from Eodum, their nature tends to worry less about lives and others and mainly handle things in pure logical ways. Having fused with Tony at 15, however, Donu has begun to learn of empathy and even began to think of others before Tony and himself. (Although, Tony believes it to still be logically based, as there's always more strength in numbers.) Donu truthfully cannot remember his true age, but has admitted to have clearly remembered events as far back as Genghis Khan. After becoming mentally fused to Tony, Donu was able to study humans more than practical horses on the track (see Back Story). Having always been interested in them, Donu now finds a charm with humans, glad to have been able to learn of their true nature...regardless of what he needed to sacrifice to be there. Cool, calm and nearly soothing in tone, Donu's voice was described by Raptor as, “The few seconds of peace amidst a battle— soothing and cherished, yet you find yourself weary of the inevitably unknown.”

Appearance
Being a shadow creature from another dimension, Donu is a large ghastly thin skeletal-like shadow creature, spanning to about 7 feet tall (naturally, before being connected to Tony and without changing his appearance in any way). Prior to being fused to Tony, his body could be compared to that of a human skeleton that were dissipating into dust or smoke. The shadowy composition of his body was generally perceived as 'wispy' or 'smoky', even though he could concentrate his form to become fully solid. Unless fully dissipating into a shadow without physical core, Donu's eyes could always be seen. Nearly just sockets of a skull that weren't filled in, an interesting glow of solid green energy sat in each side, showing just where the Scathe could see from. After fusing with Tony, in the rare times he is able to exit the body, Donu still retains his original form, but without legs, resembling a bit more of a classical ghost or genie "tail" that connects to Tony in some way shape or form (generally to his heels like the shadow he is).Donu has explained in the past that the form of a Scathe has reflected the human beings that they are tethered to, as every living human on Earth has a Scathe that is attached to their bloodline (See Donu: Origin). As the humans have evolved (in size, for example, as average human size has grown), so have Scathe who grow in ratio. Each Scathe tend to change in natural shape due to whomever they are tethered to. For example, Scathe are 1.5 times taller than the human they're tethered to (without stretching, anyway). So Tony's father was 6 feet tall, leaving Donu at 9 feet while still connected to him. But once he passed from Tony's father to Tony, he lost half a foot, now at 8'5. Donu explained that all follow said rules unless a part of The Hierarchy Three, where they seem to differentiate.Generally, however, If mimicked through Tony's shadow or when he's able to be released (such as during Ghastral Projection), Donu's form tends to constantly change shape and style (reminiscent of a Rorschach Test and it's many blots). This happens for no other reason than shadows being lucid, able to take the form of anything where light is present. This generally only occurs if he's able to use his own form (outside of Nox's body) for extended periods of time.

Origin
Eodum: a dimension that shadows our very own. Little is known about the dimension by Tony, as Donu speaks on it on a very need-to-know basis. From what he does know, however, the dimension is nearly a desert of darkness with multiple cities throughout the world which work as the societal focuses. One of these cities, known as Zingatia, is the highest as far as social status. In Eodum, the Scathe follow a sort of religion in tune with our world. From the beginning of our time, each Scathe was "born" and diligently follow a bloodline. "Tethered" to the oldest male in the family, once he passes, the Scathe then tethers to the next eldest male sibling (and changes size accordingly, see Donu: Appearance. Should there be none, it then moves onto the eldest son, where the cycle continues on. Should there be a time where the bloodline is cut off by early death or having no male heir, the Scathe will cease to exist and die along with the bloodline they were tethered to.In being attached to a bloodline, the stature of said family directly correlates to the power and prestige. It was rather simple: the higher in stature your bloodline, the higher in stature the Scathe. This leads to the highest in standing of Eodum: The Shadow King and his trusted advisors, The Hierarchy Three. Taking the places of second, third and fourth, The Hierarchy Three are the most socially powerful Scathe behind only The King, himself. Not only does this come with guiding The King in ruling the realm, but "a blessing" by The King, which makes them more powerful than the average Scathe. This power changes their appearance slightly, as the top of their hands take on a nearly fiery and flame-like composition, with a blue light within the core of their "skull" that matches the color of their eyes. According to Donu, there was once a fourth, but he disappeared decades ago. Rather than being able to replace him, however, multiple searches could not find any proof that him or his tethered human were dead. Opting to leave what should be four to be three, The Hierarchy Three remained. They generally govern the dimension, deciding how things are ran in their society. Above them, there is only one.The Shadow King. The highest in the society of Eodum, he does not quite follow the rules the rest of their people do— he creates them. Whoever is in charge of Eodum rules with a no holds barred grip of control over the Scathe. It is rare to see The King, even as their own dimension, according to Donu, as The King generally only makes appearances in times of war or to publicly make a point (which are...generally not too fun for his masses). Many Scathe speculate if it is due to his positioning as number one/King, possible power passed down from King to King, or even an unknown force which is the cause, but The King is known to be the most powerful of the Scathe. Donu stated to have seen the current King only once before, due to having to make a point before his people in the middle of Zingatia. A normally kind-hearted, benevolent and patient ruler, King Amandi proved a stern ruler who would not only do what was necessary for his people to thrive, but would not tolerate any disrespect or rebellion. Dwarfing even the highest of Scathe in size and power, King Amandi snuffed out his troubles as suddenly as he appeared, retreating back to his quarters with The Hierarchy Three at his side, not another word spoken to his people past the battle. Even Donu knows not his true strength. Last asked, Donu told Tony, "As impressive as we've gotten with our powers, I still question if we could defeat The Three, let alone our King. From what his majesty demonstrated that day, decades ago, I dare say we would hardly force him to put effort into the fight, let alone defeat him. He is the epitome of what shadows can do. He is power. He is darkness. He is the Shadow King.

Personality

Above all else, if one were to ask anyone who knew Tony Puentes well enough, they'd likely say the one word to describe him best would be "stubborn." Contrary to the usual implications of hearing one is stubborn, it's unironically Tony's greatest strength. Tony would likely be labeled as "too stubborn to give up" or "too stubborn to leave things the way they are" when asked. He grew up in The Bronx, New York, under rough lifestyle due to lack of guidance growing up. But prior to his grandparents' passing, they always insisted that there was an inner good in Tony, dying to be given the chance amidst all the chaos and evils he knew; like a glimmering speck of light amidst the bleak darkness of a cave. Once becoming Nox, Tony saw it as an opportunity to make good on his grandparents' view, fighting for what he thought was ultimately the greater good for those around him. Quick to step in to defend the little guy, Tony has a personal vendetta against the "bullies" of the world. This alongside the yearning wish to make worth of his own life, Tony fights every day to not only help and protect the innocents that can't for themselves, but to (possibly selfishly) be remembered as a good man who tried. But all that is under the surface. On the day-to-day, Tony is a smart-mouthed confrontational teenager that sees most as an enemy until proven otherwise. Quick to jab at someone and deal with the repercussions later, Tony has a habit of prodding most that he comes to meet. While he can play well with others (and will do so should it need be), trust is one earned slowly with the teenager. He sees people as "naturally selfish" and (as someone who fights not to be best he can) it takes time to prove to him that you're not just another person looking out for yourself. But should you garner that trust, Nox is a long-time ally and would never hesitate to lay his life down on the line for you. A jokester, a goof, and still CLEARLY a child at heart, the Tony just under the surface proves as one of the greatest allies to be had.Even IF he has a habit of being somewhat irritating...
